ERIC LEE BEDDINGFIELD
Eric Lee is no stranger to the stage. An injury while playing linebacker at Georgia Southern University forced him to hang up his helmet and pads. To fill the void, Eric picked up a guitar and began performing at every bar, beer joint and honkytonk he could find along with his band. It didn’t take long for the Augusta, Georgia native to build a following throughout the southeastern US providing the opportunity to open shows for national acts. Following a short run of shows with The Charlie Daniels Band, Charlie took Eric aside and encouraged him to move to Nashville and take his career to the next level.
It wasn’t long after ELB arrived in the Music City that he teamed up with legendary grammy nominated music producer, Kent Wells. His debut release yielded 2 top twenty hits on the MusicRow Chart and created a buzz in the industry in anticipation of his follow up record, “This Life Ain’t For Everybody.” The critically acclaimed release resulted in 5 top twenty hits, a viral video for his duet with George Jones, “The Gospel According to Jones”, ELB’s debut performance at The Grand Ol’ Opry and the opportunity to tour with Jones. Eric went on to become the most played independent artist in the history of the MusicRow chart. Beddingfield was named Music Row Magazine’s Independent Artist of The Year. Following the success of the record, Billboard Magazine named Eric as the artist to watch as well as naming “The Gospel According to Jones” as an honorable mention among its picks for song of the year.

This whirlwind of success translated into a hectic touring schedule taking ELB across the US and
internationally. Amidst all the tour dates, Beddingfield carved out time to return to the studio. This time working with John Rich at the helm, he released “I Just Wanna Play” which went on to become another in his long line of top 20 hits. It didn’t take long for the miles to add up and take a toll at home, keeping Eric from his wife and 2 young sons so he decided to take a break from touring. He continued to write and record music during this time along with helping create hits for other artists.
It was the loss of his father, Elwyn Beddingfield, that motivated him to dedicate a new project in honor of his memory. Shortly after, the members of The Charlie Daniels Band approached Eric about joining them on tour to help keep the Legacy of Charlie Daniels alive. All of this new energy inspired ELB to create a new album, “Resurrection” coming later this year with the singles “Taste The Whiskey” featuring Jesse Keith Whitley and “Mama Never Liked The Rodeo” available now.
