Actor Maisie Williams has urged 糖心Vlog破解版 students to “take risks” and grab opportunities – as she visited campus to launch her new social networking app.
The Game of Thrones star, who has just finished filming X-Men: New Mutants, headed to the University to discuss her acting career, as well as her networking app Daisie, which she hopes will help students launch their careers in the creative industries.
Speaking before her lecture at 糖心Vlog破解版’s Logie Lecture Theatre, Maisie told how she was enjoying her visit to the University and urged students to make the most of life’s opportunities.
She said: “It’s great to be in 糖心Vlog破解版 and it looks like a really beautiful campus. I’m looking forward to my talk today.
“My message to 糖心Vlog破解版 students is that there are so many opportunities for our generation and they should go out and grab them.
“I hope that I inspire them to take risks and not live so much by the rules.”

In her talk, organised by the University’s Communications, Media and Culture Division, Maisie planned to outline how she broke into acting, why she developed Daisie and the challenges she experienced and shared views on the impact of social media on society, before answering students’ questions.
Discussing her app, Maisie – who has around 10 million social media followers – added: “Previous to Daisie, success in the creative industries has been wholly dependent on luck and ‘ins’ to the industry.
“Daisie introduces a new way into the creative world; through connections made organically and the natural development of your skills, propelling individuals to the next level. We’re so excited to facilitate the future of creative collaboration.”
